James Baker

James is our Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) and has over 19 years’ experience in the dental technology field. James successfully qualified as a CDT through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and works directly with patients in clinic. He handmakes dentures in his dental laboratory, using advanced denture materials.

James looks to put the patient at the heart of his treatment, ensuring he meets their wants and needs as best possible. James aims to provide a relaxed and friendly experience through the journey of a new denture. His chairside manner regularly puts patients at ease especially those who may be nervous.

James regularly attends courses to further his knowledge and skills which in turn ensures patients receive the best of these for their dentures. He recently completed an advance course in the Dr Abe Mandibular suction dentures; helping patients achieve suction on lower full dentures, without the need for implants. James also previously mastered an Ivoclar iDenture course, which aims to achieve aesthetic full dentures - the most natural looking dentures with exceptional fit using the most advanced materials.

Away from work, James with his wife, two young sons and dog, live in North Yorkshire and enjoy bike rides and dog walks. James also has a passion for Formula 1 and football.
